What it is, plainly

A self-hosted scheduling tool, pre-configured for solo and 2–3 van mobile detailers. Customers book online, deposits are taken at booking, reminders go out automatically, and your service area stops the random out-of-territory requests. Your customer data lives on your subdomain (yourshop.darn-tech.com) — you own it, you can export it, you can take it elsewhere if you ever leave.

Built on the cal.com open-source scheduling engine, configured for the specific shape of mobile detailing. Not a wrapper, not a reseller agreement — DArnTech (Indianapolis) operates and supports your instance directly.

What you get

Deposit-required booking

No-card-no-booking. Stripe-backed deposit captured at booking time. Cancellation policy enforced (24-hour minimum, partial forfeit). Stops no-show losses without operator chasing.

Service-area cap

Set your radius (or list of cities) once. Bookings outside the area get refused at intake, not after you've driven 30 minutes. No more polite-decline emails.

1-van capacity logic

Single-resource scheduling with travel-buffer between jobs. No double-bookings. No 10am-12pm next to 12pm-2pm across town. Simple geographic sequencing display for your daily route.

Tier-priced menus

Service tiers as picklists (Classic / Prestige / Elite, or whatever your menu shape is). Customer picks the tier at booking, deposit scales accordingly. Recurring/maintenance plans supported.

Automatic reminders

Email reminders at 24-hour and 1-hour windows. Phone-confirm reminder optional. Cuts the day-before-text labor most operators currently do by hand.

Your customer data, your subdomain

Hosted at yourshop.darn-tech.com on infrastructure DArnTech operates. Full export anytime. Your data is not pooled with other operators' data. Not sold, not used for ads.

What it's NOT

Honest about scope — this is for the 1-van and 2–3 van operator who's outgrowing Square Appointments but doesn't need Workiz-class dispatch.

Not a CRM. Your customer list lives in the system but it's not a sales pipeline. If you want full CRM with lead-scoring and email campaigns, this isn't that.
Not fleet-scale route optimization. The 1-van geographic-sequencing display works for solo operators. If you have 5+ vans and need real dispatch, you're outside this product's fit.
Not invoicing or accounting. Deposits and Stripe payments yes; full invoicing/tax/accounting no — QuickBooks or Wave handle that better.
No before/after photo workflow. Phase 2 candidate if customer demand surfaces; not in the $49/month tier today.
No CARFAX integration. Out of scope. If you need it, Urable's tier handles that.

How to try it

Reach out by email or phone. We'll spin up a demo instance configured for your shop's services + service area in about 30 minutes. You can take real bookings on it during a 2-week trial. If it fits, first paid month starts after the trial. If it doesn't, the demo instance comes down and there's no lock-in.

Who's behind it

Darren Arney, owner-operator of DArnTech LLC in Indianapolis. Senior lab automation engineer (9+ years) and AI engineering as the day job — this is the shop-booking side that runs alongside. The platform is built on open-source scheduling, hosted on infrastructure I own and operate. Real person, not a SaaS support queue.
